The RIOBOT Metal Gear Sahelanthropus is now on sale and available at
stores around Japan!
The largest product yet from the RIOBOT series and to properly
introduce using this sample I will split this into two parts.
Part 1 will feature the Upright Form and the option parts that will be
included in this set.
Part 2 will focus on the Rex form and how to transform it to that
form.
Hope all our reader will stay with us to the end
Let’s start by taking a look at the upright version!
To come at a height of 280mm it will be huge! Even looking from a
distance you will notice the incredible amount of details that have been
included in this.
From head to toe there will be details everywhere you look!
Will be using die-cast parts as well which will make this heaviest
release up to now from this series.
From the rear.
The eye catching rail gun will move as a joint is built in.
This can be removed to allow it to be easily displayed .
Close up look at the head unit.
The skull marking and camouflage patterns will be recreated using
printing. This will be weathering by painting over it which creats a even more realistic finish to the product.
This weathering finish is done on the whole body and
will bring out the mechanical details on the body.
The camo pattern will become detailed to the extent that
it looks like a one off sample made from a hobby magazine in Japan.
You will be amazed this sort of weathering was done on a mass produced
product when you pick it up.
A personal favorite of mine is the calf section of this!
Come with joints and shafts that are just shouting out to be
transformed just looking at these turns me on!
The entrance to the cockpit in the mouth section can be opened
It's not just the details that are incredible about this of course.
As it's part of the RIOBOT brand you can bet the articulation gimmicks
will be incredible as well!
The famous scene in the game where he turns his head to both sides to
search for Snake can be recreated with this toy!
The Archaea grenades mounted on the waist will come off.
As all fingers on the manipulator’s will come articulated it will be
possible to have it hold the grenades.
Missile hatches on the legs can be opened to reveal the missiles
inside.
Rest assured even these small parts are painted.
The hydraulic pylon on the right arm will contract and expand allowing you to recreate scenes in the game.
Archaea blade
By using the grip parts it can hold the blade in its hand.
Effect parts can also be used with the blade to creat the look seen in the game.
The distinctive feel of the blade has be replicated by the paint
finish to it.
Watch it pull the blade up......
And slam it down!!
Look at it from a different angle!
Looks more like something from the game then a picture of a toy I would like to add!!
Thanks to the built in gimmicks the articulation for the legs
will be close to or even better than an standard action figure!!
We'll show you how to move which part to better pose this in Part 2
so don't miss it!!
Head unit will come with LED lights built that will shine red.
Two sword parts will be included so you can pose this with sword in
both hands!!
The shield seen only in the art will also be included!
Massive enough to cover the whole arm when attached!
The game might have been harder if this was used in it ....
The special base that was used with the "RE:EDIT HulkBuster"
will be included with this product.
Stiff and steady enough to support the huge HulkBuster you can use it
to pose the Sahelanthropus as if it was flying!
A close up look at the connecting arm for the Backpack and Railgun.
The railgun on the back is used in the REX mode in the game but as the arm supporting it will move it can be posed with the gun under his arm like in the picture.
Of course the rail gun can be deployed with no exchanging of parts!
Will look great with it posed on his shoulder
